Notes and Headcanon
Canon
-Violette is a doll, and was originally placed upon Hiver's grave (along with the other doll, Hortense) to accompany him.
-She and Hortense uphold the balance of life and death;for Violette, she is on the side of death.
-Presented as being on the right side, while Hortense is on the left.
-While speaking, she's voiced by Mamiko Noto. However, her singing voice is provided by KAORI. Basically, her voice is more softspoken then her sister Hortense's.
-Is an observer for the most part of Roman, since she does have to find stories for Hiver.
Headcanon
-Despite being human-sized, Violette stays a doll. It's not really obvious unless someone really keen notices it or she tells them, though she does have a few tics that give let people hint on about what she is (i.e. slight movements akin to a marionette).
-Expanding on the above, she can revert to being doll-sized whenever she wants to. In that form, she doesn't move because...well, again- she's a doll.
-She can float for how long she wants to as well.
-Aside from the two aforementioned above facts and letting Hiver know what she's seeing (somehow- the songs are really ambiguous as to how, and the manga goes for letting Hiver see it through their eyes), Violette does not have any other abilities whatsoever.
-Unlike her sister Hortense, Violette is a little more reserved, though she's still just as expressive, so she's not super stoic.
-Occasionally she gains a little smile about death-related things. Though, it's towards the aspect of peace and accepting it, as violent and man-made deaths don't bring her joy.
Things We'll Never Know About
-Which one of the dolls is a liar
-Basically most of the entirety of "Roman" because what the ever loving fuck Revo
